Dennis graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1977 with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. In 1979, he qualified as a chartered accountant in Vancouver. From 1979 to 1982, Dennis worked full-time in the area of corporate and personal income tax planning. Dennis worked as a partner at his own chartered accounting firm from 1982 to 1992. Dennis has completed the CICA In-depth tax course.  Dennis also completed his Certificate in International Financial Reporting Standards with the Institute of Chartered Accoutants in England and Wales.

In 1992, Dennis merged his accounting practice with D+H Group LLP. He is responsible for providing taxation services, accounting, assurance and business advisory services. Dennis has a special interest in servicing clients involved with seafood and meat industry, lumber industry, professional medical, dental and legal industry, asia /pacific rim investments in Canada, the entertainment industry, assurance work with public companies, and the local Canadian and International business communities.
