Simon was conferred Bachelor of Science at the Zhejiang University of Technology in Hangzhou city and Master of Science at Southeast University in Nanjing city, China. After immigrating into Canada, he received Bachelor of Business Administration (majoring in accounting) with distinction from Bishop’s University in Sherbrooke, Quebec. During the Certified General Accountants association (CGA) national exams, in Taxation 2 he achieved first in Quebec and fourth nationwide; in Audit 2 he achieved second in both Quebec and nationwide. He was distinguished by a listing in the Top Ten New Members of CGA Alberta for 2005-2006 year.
Simon completed the CICA In-depth Tax course in 2008 and has been specializing in tax with a number of mid-sized accounting firms and a large international accounting firm. He joined D+H Group LLP as a senior tax manager in 2009.
Simon is responsible for providing tax planning and tax compliance services to owner-manager clients. He has experience in corporate reorganization, merger and acquisition, succession planning, trust and estate planning, and cross-border tax issues.
